With less of a year shy to the next general elections, candidates are coming up, with full declarations expect the one guy that most youths want, it’s a bit frustrating, “enough with the never-ending foreplay”, as one young mind said on the clock app. Being number one has always been everyone’s dream from school and even here in the political space it’s no different.

Matter of fact, it is a position that not only comes with money, but great powers enough to ascend bills and make them into law and even give direct orders. It must be excruciatingly thrilling I would imagine, on the other hand it is one of the hardest jobs as the stability and prosperity of a whole entire country is dependant on you.

Well, it’s up for grab next year and we are all losing sleep over it. The dynamic has changed following the exit of Raila Odinga HE. Anyone can dream, anyone can run as there is no hoarding and issuance of direct tickets, the ground is almost levelled. It’s a good thing for democracy and again even more power to the people to choose their leader without heavy brainwashing to say the least.

So far, a number have showed interest in running for the position, alliances are forming, some camps can’t seem to agree on who heads who deputizes, some camps are sure, it’s a bit confusing at the moment, slogans are loud, masses are gathering every other weekend and oh development projects are starting to be seen after 4 years of nothing.

We all can’t wait to see who gets the certificate of being the topmost, but deep down we all have a rough idea of who that could be, hoping for a miracle that we will be in safe hands somehow, just somehow!
