Welcome to ‘Kanairo’
Nairobi is already showing me ‘dust’ literally and metaphorically. Wueh! I could end this write up just here. Ever been in a situation where you are not sure if you want to cry or laugh..I was really counting on the weather to be nice but it just decided to remind me I’m the goddess of rain, “Nyambura “. Maybe I could try and say a little prayer with bits of sacrifice to see if the gods will hear my plea. Testing me for sure!
Guess who went out dry and came back dripping wet? Nairobians without a car. Unexpected rains just decide to wash away our December sins a good one. Im typing this all dried up, changed and warm.Hot chocolate is literally a warm long hug but in a cup. Ready to watch a comedy series to at least make me laugh and forget the day that was Friday. Oh wait it’s Friday; Do people actually go out? Not in January though, right? We will try that next month.

I just want to go golfing, shopping, bake sometimes and spa dates like some Nairobi babes, is it too much to ask? The only problem, my ID, Ego and Superego are strongly working together and the moral bit of my conscience can’t allow me to do what they do for that lifestyle. Well, What to do? Where do I sign up?
I also just want to be in a ranch, horse riding every morning with endless skies , making wine for a living, or because I can and I own the vineyard, make cheese sometimes and play in the mud. What to do huh? Where do I sign up?

For now, I will enjoy my weekend, with a comedy series, maybe dance Salsa, enjoy hot chocolate, play dress up, lunch with a friend and definitely meditate to put my thoughts in order and also feel less anxious about this Nairobi life. What are you up to the first weekend of the 123 days of January?
I have to say, I love the writers column, my favorite nook always. Find more of my raw and deep thoughts in that column. See you soon hun.
