New week, are you ready?
Michelle Obama, Kamala Harris or Samia Suluhu. Women I look up to,women I want and wish to be like. They are powerful and unapologetic, unmistakable bouquet of wisdom kindness and strength. I want to be The First Lady which is really cool, Vice President is even way cooler but being The President is just the ultimate goal, top tier. You feel my struggle? Who would you rather be? Welcome to my captured thoughts once more.

Back to reality friend, I am still here making both good and bad choices with so fulfilling and harsh consequences, it’s almost cliche’ at this point. As a grown up even the less serious choices will just have so harsh consequences that you will have to deal with. It is more like yes you can drink on a Monday since you are a grown up with your freedom and money but should you? Do you really want to? With hangovers taking two business days to clear,then your whole week is all over the place.
Starting a week feeling nourished and galvanized is key,our essential topic for today. How do you make sure your week has started off on the right track,with energy ? You ought to have rituals or rather practices that you do to set you up for a good week. Some of them could be tidying and organizing on Sunday evening, a self-care sunday ,writing down the goals and to do list for the week, meditations and even prayer. It could be spending some time outdoors for an activity that brings you peace and calmness,like a long drive,picnics, spending time with loved ones who bring warmth, energy and contentment.

All these depends on who you are, I want to believe that you are one who is into self development and want the most out of your weeks. Let’s also be honest ,sometimes one has been invited to a party or there is an event or hangout going down somewhere and you can’t afford to miss. “life is for the living”, you already know but with moderation of course.
So,Monday morning is also another time to set up your week, if weekend was not possible,doing intentional things to get you psyched. A good example is having a morning walk or run , the usual meditation and prayer, watering your plants and I will insist on writing down your plans and goals on a book not on the phone. Journaling is also a good way,it’s therapeutic,do not roll your eyes,just try.Breathing exercises and good cup of coffee or tea is also perfect. Not forgetting,cuddles, sugarcane whisky- laced kisses and sex for those that are in a relationship I want to believe is a good way to get you moving into a week of productivity. Waking up hangovered on Monday is not what you want every week.
That said, for the young missy remember you are deserving of everything good thing in life. Don’t get used to just being looked at,get used to being seen. Have that leopard’s savagery and elegance enough to for them to be fearful and impressed. See you soon.
