Navigating the Turning 30 Crisis

Unfortunately, or fortunately, everyone goes through crisis because God willing we all age and move past 30 years. This is for the ladies and gents who think they are on the blink of death just because they turned 30. Relax or better take a deep breath then go to sleep, you are not unique, you are actually blessed and favored to see this far in life. But this is not the blog for that, lets actually talk about the turning 30 crisis.

Based on my research and best believe i have asked a significant number of people on how it felt when they turned 30 and most if not all said they went through a mini depression. simply because of societal pressure nothing more. It was how the society now perceived them, and to make it bearable, just like any other significant age you are expected to behave differently, it just is.

It is that year that you take stock of what you have been up to for the last decade. It is a serious number in all essence 30 decades is not little at all. so the taking stock and societal pressure is what actually makes it very heavy. This is not one of those things I give hacks on how to go through, no, you actually have to accept then move and plan accordingly.

Being younger is not an option , and believe it or not, this is the youngest you will ever be. Now with that self acceptance and taking stock, you have another decade to actually rewrite your story or better even making it greater than you already have. Truth is, if you focused on learning and bettering yourself in your 20s then you are in a good position to start or continue.

Take a very deep breath, take a walk, find release mechanisms like going to the gym , a creative outlet and write your wishes and goals out, you will feel better after a few months, because fact is, time has a way of healing which is mostly through acceptance and new copying mechanisms. You are not alone, chances are all your friends are going through this stage and that is part of life. If it gets harder, do therapy , talk to friends, talk to older people, get perspectives and remember to breathe. Only truth is, you are here now and its upon you to make wise decisions.
