Hush Hush

We shall not cease! The attack on Kirinyaga women rep Njeri Maina feels quite personal. So of all the people, her? Why her you might wonder? She has been coming off quite strong, interacting with the people on the ground, gaining political mileage and someone is not happy. Well, she has indeed unlocked a new level of political mileage yet again. she is the star you can’t hide. Her light is so bright that now she is known country wide. It is sad, it makes young women feel afraid of even going for these positions. Something has to be done. What is the space for women now? We shall overcome, like it or not we are here to stay.

That was the highlight of my day. I fear for such days. On the other hand , today I attended a press briefing of youths from different political parties yet again. A nice well read statement with almost empty threats. We have to move on from these sideshows as youths, I’m on your side but it’s a bit too cliche now. Who is listening? Who is taking us serious? The only language they understand, ask Baba Raila Odinga as he knows better. Or we can just continue till we are over the youth group. The choice is ours.

The president to whom, the presser was supposed to reach, he was busy having a nice game drive at the Masai Mara. Very nicely dressed in Masai attire with some Sun glasses for a touch of modernity. He looks really good, you would think he hails from Masai land. Have you had that game drive yet? Why not ,book a trip to the mara right now., It’s time for the wild beast migration, one of the 7 wonders of the world if you need more convincing.

We cannot close this column without talking of the Honorable Ababu Namwamba Cs youth affairs and sports. Nobody wishes to be him right now. Kenyans on X have really feasted on him. Taking him down ,down to the gutter, not sure how he will pull this through. I was however, rooting for him, the tournaments that he has launched across the country were unheard of . He is doing the most, but just because of one popular lady who people love to hate , doesn’t make him incompetent. Something must kill a man. We have to accept some things, not at the expense of Kenyan tax payers money, that is highly condemned for sure.

All in all God for us all, Man for himself. Always remember, problems are personal.
