How to prepare for the holidays: blogmas 1
It is more of a mental journey than it is physical. The holidays tend to evoke too much emotion especially if you have had past experiences that were not so jovial, lost a loved one or just something tragic happens. On the other hand, holiday funk can happen especially if you have the same family traditions no matter how pleasant the traditions are. Here are a few tips to help you prepare:

Plan ahead: Make lists, budgets, calls, and holiday cards. Plan early enough. Remember it is a season not a day. This will help you avoid wasting time and energy, you already planned so everything is in order. A good tip is to manage expectations even as you plan, be realistic and hope for the best.
Prepare Mentally: This is the most important thing, you need to be your best self during this season. You have responsibilities and a lot of cooking, cleaning and organizing . It’s upon you to take care of yourself, get enough sleep stretch,move,meditate and most importantly ask for help. If not careful this season can drain you, so prioritize thy self after all you cannot pour from an empty cup.

Giving: simply serve others, there is a fulfillment that comes with serving others wholly. A reminder that this season is not just for celebrating but it is a season to help and give others. Let gratitude lead you, stay thankful and for the abundance given, extend grace and help to others. Love your neighbor.

Try something new. Holiday funk is what we are trying to avoid this season. You have been doing the same thing year in year out. Try something new, visit a different place, different games among others. Just to emphasize, the food, we keep making the same dishes all year long,you are not even looking forward to that Christmas lunch because you know the drill. How about a new recipe? Set Goals for Next year: this is just my hack that has enabled me to go through this season easier, knowing that I have something exciting to jump on as soon as it’s over. I’m already excited for the new year. Enjoying the holidays, having something to look forward to at the back of your mind,keeps the days running, It’s a hack that you should try.
Be present: Take a deep breath and enjoy the moment. Ooze love and gratitude. Be present.
